Karen and Cherie, as Committee Co-chairs, exemplify the Challenge 21 partnerships, involving the City, School District U-46 and other stakeholders. Karen Fox says, “Members of the Enhancing Elgin Committee continue the work of promoting the assets of our community. Due to the businesses and organizations represented at the table, the gathering resembles a ‘town hall’ meeting with each person giving input from a particular perspective.”

With initial funding from the City of Elgin, a consultant was retained to lead in a citywide branding and marketing campaign. The first phase of the work will involve preliminary research, planning and brand strategy, followed by a comprehensive branding effort.
