Message from Jerry Sorensen, 2011 Ambassador Chair
 Joining the Elgin Area Chamber is a great way to create interest in your business.
I have been a member of the Elgin Area Chamber since 2002. Attending these events establishes you and your company or product as a valuable resource in the Elgin community. The discovery of such a wide diversity of businesses and friends is remarkable. This is the reason the Elgin Area Chamber is so active. The Chamber has a large range of small home based businesses to large corporations including technology, financial, real estate, medical, education, retail stores, designers, restaurants, personnel services and the arts to name a few. Interest in your business and your ideas happen by direct contact, talking, exchanging concepts, discussing your product and listening to other members sharing their thoughts to help you while at our chamber events.
The Elgin Area Chamber offers a wide variety of ways to stay involved.
Attending our Business After Hours, Ribbon cuttings, New member orientations and Earn groups, afford opportunities to personally get to know other members a little more each time we meet. A friendship is the best business relationship. People like to do business with whom they know and like. Learning about each other helps us to connect business and create opportunities to work together. This allows you the best way to test a concept and allows businesses to exchange ideas with other people as a valuable marketing resource.

You may be shy or out going. We are here to help facilitate introductions and initiate conversations to involve you in our networking events. Become inspired and have fun with business tours, drinks, good food, door prizes and lots of friends.
