What is a Chamber of Commerce?A chamber of commerce is a voluntary organization of business and professionals dedicated to promoting community and economic strength. A Chamber of Commerce is funded by membership investments; a chamber is not affiliated with town government or accountable to any other organization. A chamber embodies the vast expertise of the many businesses and professionals in its membership and accomplishes collectively what no one business or professional can do alone!
What does a Chamber do?A chamber of commerce represents the interests of its membership, in the spirit of co-operation with the plan and philosophy of economic development set forth by the community. The chamber of commerce represents business and professional interests before elected bodies. The programs of the chamber address those community factors that affect business and economic development.

How much are the dues?Dues are based on the number of full-time employees in your company, with 3 exceptions: professionals, commercial banks and some non-for-profit organizations. Minimum Chamber dues are $275 a year. Click here for the dues schedule.
Are dues tax deductible?Chamber dues are deductible for federal income tax purposes as a business expense.
How to I sign up for Chamber events?You can sign up for Chamber events on our on line community calendar or you can call the Chamber at 847-741-5660.
How many members are there in the Elgin Area Chamber?We currently have over 700 members.
