• Member Business Committees
  • Become A Chamber Ambassador

Though it can require an investment of your time and energy, serving as a Chamber Ambassador has several advantages.

    • It is is a great way to increase the reputation and reach of your business
    • Allows you to have an impact in the community by sharing your skills and expertise
    • Acquire knowledge by gaining an insider's view of discussions regarding the business and the community.
    • Build your network with contacts that stick
    • Fast track your career. Being an Ambassador is a great way to practice your communication skills, demonstrate your work, and show your willingness to contribute.

    What do Ambassadors do?

Ambassadors are often the first link new members have with the Chamber. Our goal is to help members feel welcome and comfortable with the Chamber and provide information about the various Chamber services. Members of Ambassadors attend ribbon-cutting ceremonies to welcome new businesses to the area and are available to new members to answer any questions they may have. The Ambassadors Committee is the official host of all Chamber events and have the responsibility to be Chamber advocates for all members. One of the most important aspects of this is introducing new Members to existing ones and serving as a liaison for Member-to-Member networking.

Meeting Time: First Friday Wednesday of the month at 8:15 a.m. at the Elgin Area Chamber of Commerce office

I just wanted to let you both know how much we enjoy being in Elgin now. Our new business neighbors have been welcoming and our business has grown by 10% in our first four months of being in Elgin.

Just wanted to say thank you to the Chamber folks for all you do to help support our local businesses!
