  • Our Hometown Heroes

There is no definition of what makes a Hero, but most tend to be unsung Heroes who are quietly doing amazing work for the improvement of their community. Do you know someone going the extra mile to help the Elgin Area community during the Covid-19 pandemic? Who are they? What are they doing?

  • Nordic Crafts, a member of the Elgin Area Chamber, is a local not-for profit organization that does social good through fundraising with their fabric gift bags. In response to the corona-virus, Nordic Crafts is currently putting all its efforts into making and donating MASKS for local emergency and essential workers.  We encourage that some type of filter be added to improve the mask's effectiveness and we wish the best to those brave people on the front lines.Watch the video to learn how to make masks. Here is a link to more info about this local organization: https://nordiccrafts.org/  and you can reach them at Sales@NordicCrafts.org
