We are seeking 2 part-time Universal Bankers for our Elgin location with experience preferred, although will train the right candidate. This position entails a variety of responsibilities with focus on sales and service. Universal Bankers build relationships with customers based on trust, recommending financial solutions that fit each customer’s unique goals and needs. Universal Bankers primary functions entail opening accounts, processing transactions, consumer loan origination, all while solving customer questions and concerns with empathy and “can-do” attitude. Adhere to all operational, regulatory and security requirements, directives and procedures.
Accurately process customer transactions including, deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, cashier’s checks, loan payments and vehicle stickers.
Open personal and business deposit accounts.
Assist in opening additional bank products and services including, but not limited to, debit cards, online and mobile banking, bill pay and electronic statements.
Assist customers with the consumer loan process.
Cross-service customers with products and services that will benefit them.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.
Assist customers with requests, complaints, research and follows-up on details to resolve matters to the customer’s satisfaction.
Knowledge of deposit and consumer loan products and services.
Calling customers with product promotions and financial solutions.
Promptly and professionally answering incoming calls and address or route appropriately.
College degree or equivalent combination of experience and education preferred.
Minimum of 1-year accurate cash handling and sales experience.
Teller and personal banker experience a plus.
NMLS registration a plus.
