• Construction Project Foreman

    As a project foreman at B&C Enterprises, Inc., you will work alongside our project supervisors, lead carpenters, carpenters and apprentice carpenters to build and build out commercial & residential spaces according to specifications. Your job will entail working in diverse settings to produce steady and functional space and products.

    A project foreman is responsible for managing the day to day tasks on assigned projects. Managing and communicating with the clients, subcontractors and work force on each project. These projects will vary from maintenance, repair, modification to ground up construction of commercial and residential structures.

    The goal is to contribute to a long-lasting working relationship while maintaining the quality and integrity of the project with developing a skill set allowing you to move up within our company.
     
    Responsibilities

    • Review project details and scope of work
    • Estimate time & materials and coordinate as needed
    • Manage onsite workforce and subcontractors
    • Schedule materials, workforce and subcontractors
    • Coordinate work with clients and continue with constant communication
    • Keep detailed records of work performed & file records/reports with project supervisor
    • Prepare change order documents
    • Order materials from vendors and arrange deliveries
    • Perform work as project requires
    • Schedule inspections and meet inspectors onsite
    • Maintain jobsite safety and inspect site for safety violations
    • Talk with Project Supervisors to schedule work force
    • Lead by example with positive attitude, proper PPE and safe work practices
     
    Requirements
    • Positive attitude and willingness to encourage co-workers
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Experience as a lead carpenter and ability to manage crews
    • Ability to set priorities and exercise flexibility where necessary
    • Ability to read/understand blueprints, schematics and construction documents
    • Understand proper safety procedures, recognition of hazards and mitigate the hazard
    • Must possess a valid state driver’s license
    • Maintain good physical condition and endurance
    • Able to work required overtime, or alternate hours as necessary for the efficient operation of the project
    • Thorough knowledge of the standard practices, materials and tools of the carpentry trade
    • Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
    • Expert in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, tape measures, etc.)
    • Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
