JOB DESCRIPTION: The Lead Cashier reports to the Store Manager. The primary objective of this position is to promote a positive and friendly atmosphere in which customer and business transactions are handled in an efficient and timely manner and in accordance with Company policy. The major area of responsibility for the Lead Cashier is the store office and the checkout area. Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
· Customer Relations
· Daily Cash Audits
· Department Leader
· Loss Prevention
· Lead & Coach Others · Security & Safety · Maintain Office Files · Opening & Closing · Training · Some Floor Duties
QUALIFICATIONS: Basic math skills; ability to learn and perform cashier and audit functions accurately; proven customer service and interpersonal skills; strong communication skills and telephone etiquette; self-starter with the ability to supervise and lead and guide others effectively; skilled in problem solving, multi-tasking, planning and organization; flexibility to work days, some evening hours and a weekend day; ability to continuously stand/walk/bend/reach are required.
