    In This Role:

    You will perform troubleshooting and warranty repairs to Medium Voltage Equipment. Close communication with both Wendell associates and our Customer is essential to your success. You'll travel to execute the work detailed in the customer cases and associated field service events.

    You will be able to go out on field service calls to inspect, repair, install and start-up gear units and other transmission parts on customer sites upon the request of service manager. Technician resolves cause of failure and possible corrective actions. In house will perform disassembly and assembly of power transmissions such as Redurex Helical gear units, Flender standard gear units to include: bevel, planetary, worm gear, mixer drive, mill drive, single and double screw extruder units, hoist and swing gear units, variator drives, marine drives, couplings and their subassemblies.

    You Will Be Given The Opportunity To:

    Service and maintenance Industry and wind turbine gearboxes

    Troubleshoot errors on wind turbine gearboxes

    Assemble/Disassemble Unit, Inspects Parts, Recommends Replacement Parts

    Raise technical issues to supporting engineering functions.

    What You Need To Bring:

    Prior experience in power transmission, heavy equipment assembly, or wind gearbox applications.

    An Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred, however, candidates with directly related experience along with a minimum of a High School Diploma (or GED Equivalency) will also be considered

    Knowledge and experience with blueprints, metric system, work standards, ISO and quality documentation

    Extensive knowledge with basic gearing, bearings, Lathe experience helpful but not required

    Physical Demands: Ability To Climb Ladders

    Physically capable of regularly lifting 40 lbs.

    Travel expectations: 50%

    Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States. Qualified Applicants will not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States. Individual must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing

    Individual must be at least 21 years of age in order to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan

    Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Education, And Experience:

    1 Certification from a Renewable Energy, Wind Technical Program, & MSHA sites.

    2 Hands on work experience as a Field Service or Wind Technician on a Wind Farm
