    About Us

The mission of Senior Services, to allow seniors, veterans and the disabled to remain safely in their homes as long as possible, is accomplished by the coordination of all of our programs and working with other agencies that provide additional needed services.
Senior Services provides crisis intervention and services in cases of critical need. We have a 24 hour crisis line and caseworkers are on call and do go out on weekends, evenings and holidays to handle these cases. We provide investigation and intervention in cases that allege abuse through our Adult Protective Services and nursing home ombudsman programs. These programs are also on call 24/7 for emergencies. Also provided comprehensive case management, regularly assessing the ability of the older adult to safely live alone. Elder Abuse became Adult Protective Services (APS) and we began to serve disabled persons beginning at age 18. Recently added, persons with disabilities to be served in our ombudsman program and in the community.

Assessments are provided for all frail seniors, regardless of income, in an effort to prevent a crisis of health, safety and financial issues that could lead to premature institutionalization or loss of assets.

Also offered, wellness programs including “Eat Better; Move More” a health and well-being education and activity program and added “A Matter of Balance” and Chronic Disease Self-Management (CDSMP) program, and “Fit and Strong” all “evidence based” to provide proven results.
