Kudos to City of Elgin crews: After an unexpectedly powerful microburst ravaged several parts of Elgin in late July, the city of Elgin's responsive teams jumped into action. City crews quickly resolved all known public safety issues from the storm, such as downed limbs blocking streets or driveways, and worked extended hours to clear debris from the storm’s hardest hit areas. Thank you to the city's Public Works department as well as Police, Fire, 311 and Communications for all of your efforts to keep Elgin safe.

Record breaking 2016-17 season: The Elgin Symphony Orchestra recently announced the symphony sold the highest average number of classical concerts in their 66-year history. Tickets for the 2017-18 season are now on sale at www.ElginSymphony.org.
