Doug Britt Brings Extensive Experience in YMCA Operations, Volunteer Leadership, and Fundraising to the Golden Corridor Family YMCA.  He will lead the three branches of the Golden Corridor YMCA. He will lead the three branches of the Golden Corridor YMCA (Taylor YMCA, Elgin; Campanelli YMCA, Schaumburg; and Camp Edwards, East Troy, WI) beginning September 1, 2019.

    Britt would serve as the new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective September 1, 2019. He will succeed Gary Bublitz, who has served as President and CEO for 18 years and will retire at the end of Au(Elgin, IL: July 29, 2019)– The Golden Corridor Family YMCA announced today that Doug gust 2019, as previously announced.

    Doug Britt currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Stateline Family YMCA in Beloit, WI, a position he has held since 2011. Doug has more than 19 years of experience at the executive level in growing the YMCA’s impact through program, membership, and community development. His leadership style encourages strong partnership with volunteers and staff, which helps to set a vision for the future.

    Doug Britt received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin—La Crosse, WI. He served in multiple positions in the YMCA before coming to Stateline YMCA in 2011, including District Executive at YMCA of Greater Louisville; Executive Director, Fry Family YMCA, Naperville, IL; Executive Director, East Butler County YMCA, Hamilton, OH; Executive Director, Frank Berlin YMCA, Sarasota, FL; and Vice President of Operations at Alfred Campanelli YMCA in Schaumburg, IL.
    According to John Regan, Board Chair of the Golden Corridor Family YMCA: “We are privileged to welcome Doug Britt to our YMCA, and look forward to working with Doug to help grow the YMCA to the next level.” John thanked the YMCA CEO Selection Committee for its hard work in conducting a nation-wide search for its new CEO, which began in May and included over 30 qualified candidates.
