    SCORE, FOX VALLEY CHAPTER, was named SCORE’s Large Chapter of the Year for FY 2017 by the U.S. Small Business Administration. Congrats to this chapter of the nation’s the nation's largest network of volunteer, expert business mentors who meet with local businesses here in our Chamber office.
    Elgin’s Middleby Corporation received the Export Continuing Excellence Award recognition from Lt. Governor Evelyn Sanguinetti and the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity (DCEO) at the 2018 Governor's Export Awards.
    Presence St. Joseph Hospital recently honored the Ecker Center for Mental Health with the 2018 Inspire Award presented annually as a way of recognizing community leaders or organizations that exemplify the values of Presence Health by going above and beyond to care for vulnerable populations in need.
    The Ecker Center was cited for its commitment to serving Elgin’s most vulnerable population of people struggling with mental health issues.
    The YWCA Child Care Center received the Silver Circle of Quality designation from ExceleRate Illinois, the state's new quality recognition and improvement system for early learning and development providers. THE YWCA Silver Circle programs meet or exceed specific quality benchmarks on learning environment and instructional quality, along with selected program business standards; provider qualifications; and professional development.
    The Kane County Fair will be celebrating its 150th birthday when it comes this summer to the Kane County Fairgrounds in St. Charles.
