Congrats to Ecker Center for Mental Health and Renz Addiction Counseling Center on their plans to affiliate their agencies to create a new, larger behavioral health agency to provide integrated services to community members.
Hollywood came to Elgin with the Elgin Short Film Festival returning for its 10thyear. Filmmakers arrived in the red carpet and congrats to the winner, Margaret and the Moon directed by Trevor Morgan and produced by Paulina Olszynski.
“The possibilities are endless” said 8th grade students attending District U46’s Explore 2018 expo. Thanks to the 90 businesses who set up interactive displays to showcase future careers and options available to the students. Alignment Collaborative for Education worked with U46 in setting up the event at the Sears Centre.
The highly successful "Mexico en el Corazon" (Mexico in the Heart) filled Hemmens Cultural Center recently. The national tour presented the Ballet Folclorico Guadalajara and the Mariachi Juvenil Colotlan, showcasing beautiful and traditional Mexican music and dance.
Burlington Central High School’s new additions are complete: 12 classrooms, 60,000SF fieldhouse with 200 meter indoor track and 4 practice courts, a renovated kitchen and cafeteria for students, a new veterinary science building, along with newly designed classrooms for business entrepreneur and IOS coding.
