    The Elgin Area Leadership Academy, a valued resource since 1991, welcomes students to its Class of 2018-19. “ We are pleased to welcome these talented individuals into the 19th class of the Leadership Academy," said EAC President Carol Gieske. "At the end of the Academy, these students will better understand and appreciate this community and be in even a better position to influence positive change through their leadership."

    The EALA experience is a nine-month program where students receive an in-depth exposure to the critical issues through current community leaders in their fields. Students develop greater personal leadership skills to use and take back to their places of employment and through their volunteer work.
