2020 Leadership and Educational Symposium
Call for Speakers
The 2nd Annual "Leadership and Educational Symposium" will be held the morning of April 29, 2020 at Elgin Community College. Last year’s Symposium served over seventy (70) participants; we expect to more than double that in 2020 by having both the St. Charles and Elgin Area Chambers of Commerce co-host the event.
In addition to breakfast, networking and a keynote address, the symposium will offer workshop opportunities that will address identified learning and development needs of chamber members. The duration for each workshop will be 75 minutes and participants will have the opportunity to attend up to 2 sessions. There also will be a “coaches corner” where presenters and other business experts will interact with participants.
If you would like to be considered as a workshop speaker, please complete the "Call for Speakers" form that follows. Suggested topics have been provided based on a survey of chamber members and past participants. Please keep in mind that this is not a promotional pitch for presenters, but an opportunity to showcase your particular area(s) of expertise. For each topic that you select, provide your response to the questions that follow. Please include all requested information with sufficient details and specificity.
To be considered as a speaker for the April Symposium, all proposals must be submitted online on or before 1/15/20 at 5:00 pm (early submission is encouraged and appreciated!). The St. Charles Chamber education committee is responsible for the final decisions and will notify those who submit a proposal of their decisions during the week of January 27, 2020.
By donating your time and expertise to present at the Leadership and Educational Symposium, you will:
• increase your brand exposure and visibility within both chambers,
• demonstrate your commitment to promoting business development and growth, and
• bring credibility to your business.
Thank you in advance for stepping up and volunteering your time and passion to serve our greater chamber communities. We appreciate and value your servant leadership heart.
