    Congratulating Jim "Turk" Turcan of Cornerstone Partners Horticultural Services Company for his 2018 award as Environmental Leader of the Year, by SIMA (Snow & Ice Management Association).

    Congratulations to our Meadows Regional Cancer Care Center at Presence Saint Joseph Hospital - Elgin! The cancer center recently earned a three-year reaccreditation with 5 commendations from the Commission on Cancer. Notable praise was received for: program management, clinical services, and data quality.

    The Illinois Children’s Healthcare Foundation (ILCHF) has awarded the Kane County Health Department an initial $200,000 planning grant to improve the system of care for children and their families. This project will be a collaboration between the health department and many committed partner organizations and collaboratives working to serve the mental health needs of young people in Kane County.

    The 57-year-old non-profit Fox River Trolley Museum held guided tours to thank donors for supporting them after the devastating damage by vandals of more than $100,000 to their rail barn and eight antique railroad cars.

    The Elgin Area Convention & Visitors Bureau’s board announced Krisilee Murphy as the new Executive Director and Hratch Basmadjian from the Holiday Inn Chicago Northwest – Elgin as the new Board Chair. We look forward to their leadership and thank them for accepting these new roles.
