    Dear Illinois Exporters,
     
    We invite Illinois small businesses to participate in two upcoming Virtual Trade Missions in June and July: the China Aid Trade Show and Catalog Show on June 9-11 and the Multi-sector Virtual Trade Mission to India on July 27-28. China Aid, supported by the Office of Trade & Investment’s Shanghai office, will engage Illinois businesses to identify opportunities in China’s rapidly growing Senior Care market, expected to reach $1.85 trillion by 2030. The Multi-sector Virtual Trade Mission to India, conducted in partnership with the U.S. Commercial Service, offers Illinois companies access to a vast, diverse market with targeted support and resources.

    The UN projects that China's senior population (60+) will reach 438 million by 2050, roughly a third of the total population. As such, the Chinese senior care market is expected to grow to $1.85 trillion by 2030. The Chinese government is encouraging foreign participation and investment in China’s senior care sector.     Illinois’ small businesses are invited to join the Office of Trade and Investment and the U.S. Commercial Service on a Multi-sector Virtual Trade Mission to India July 27-28, 2021, from 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM CDT each day. As one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing countries, India offers enormous opportunities for U.S. exporters. Success in this vast, diverse market requires long-term planning and a state-by-state strategy to adapt to the complexities and diversity of the market.
     
    India is a high-performance economy offering many possibilities to Illinois companies. Strategic sectors include aerospace & defense, information and communication technologies, energy, healthcare, environmental technologies, and education, with additional opportunities in consumer goods, automotive, financial services, and manufacturing equipment. Illinois ranks 10th among the 50 states in exports to India, with total exports of $695 million in 2019.
