Join us for a captivating journey through four remarkable museums and Gail Borden Public Library celebrating its 150th anniversary, each offering a unique glimpse into the past and present of our vibrant community.

Best of all, admission is FREE to all museums, making this event accessible to everyone who wishes to explore and learn. Whether you're a history buff, an art enthusiast, or simply curious about the stories that shape our city, the Open Elgin Museum Crawl welcomes you with open arms.

To start your museum crawl adventure, simply choose any of the five participating museums listed below as your first stop.

Trolley 1 Loop Route:

  1. Library: Start the route at the Library for easy passenger pick-up.
  2. Sherman & St. Charles Street: Drop off passengers near the Observatory and Fire Barn. This central location allows visitors to walk to either destination within minutes.
  3. Elgin Public Museum (EPM)
  4. Elgin History Museum (EHM)
  5. Back to Library: Return directly to the Library to complete the loop.
