English as a Second Language Teacher Needed

Part Time AM ESL Teacher Needed:  Monday-Thursday 9:00-11:00AM

Small class size, social distance and covid-19 protocols in place. A four day per week, 9-11AM English as a Second Language (ESL) Teaching position has       recently become available at the YWCA Elgin. The ESL teacher for this position would provide English only instruction to adults of all nationalities, teaching all four skills: reading, writing, speaking & listening guided by the YWCA Elgin curriculum and the particular needs/goals of students. A Bachelor Degree is required, preferably in Education, Linguistics, English or related field.

This is a wonderful teaching opportunity for anyone interested in teaching adults.  Our students are typically eager to be in the classroom, well attended and most appreciative of the opportunity to attend class and learn about life in the USA.

I learned so much about how to build my business from the ground up from business owners who presented to the Elgin Area Chamber’s Small Business Academy, along with incredible networking. Thank you, EAC!
