    About Us

    Founded in 1955, the Ecker Center for Mental Health provides an array of outpatient mental health services for people with with mental illness and their families. Our programs for youth and adults include psychiatry, counseling and 24 hour psychiatric crisis assistance at the Sherman Hospital emergency entrance. Programs for adults include rehabilitation, 24 hour residential crisis care, intensive outpatinet crisis groups, a mobile crisis team and 24 hour supervised, daytime only supervised and unsupervised residential programs. The Elgin office offers all outpatient services plus a Genoa pharmacy and VNA Healthcare primary care. Offices in Streamwood and St. Charles offer counseling.
