    About Us

In 1950, seven educators formed Meemic to provide their colleagues with the quality insurance protection they needed at rates they could afford. More than sixty years later, we’re committed to providing auto, home and personal umbrella insurance tailored exclusively to members of the educational community.

A longtime Elgin resident with several years of experience in the financial industry, Betty Marez is excited to be part of the Meemic family as an agent and advocate for The Meemic Foundation.

As a mother of three, two with special needs, Betty has been closely involved with her children’s education and developed a strong appreciation for the teachers and staff who helped her children succeed.

Such close ties also gave her first-hand experience with the needs of educators, and she is happy to be working with Meemic Insurance and The Meemic Foundation to help local educators in their classrooms, their homes and on the road.

As a Meemic ambassador in one of the company’s newer markets, Betty takes great pride in the exclusive services Meemic provides to the educational community. Stop by the office, call or send an email today and let Betty and her team know how they can help you.

If you’re an educator or on the staff of a public, charter, private or parochial school or at a college or university (or are retired from such), you can become a member of the Meemic family. When you join, you’ll qualify for the exclusive insurance discounts offered by Meemic for the educational community.
