12th Annual Township Job Fair
Hanover Township, along with State Representative Fred Crespo, Cook County Commissioner Kevin Morrison and Illinois WorkNet will co-host the 12th annual Job Fair on Wednesday, March 29 at the Hanover Township Senior Center
(240 S. IL Route 59) in Bartlett.
Doors will open for veterans from 11-11:30AM, and to the general public from 11:30AM - 2PM. Employers will be onsite to interview and offer open positions for opportunities including administrative, health care, industrial and sales.

Sprint 2 Spring 5K
Hanover Township will host the 8th annual Sprint 2 Spring 5K run/walk on Saturday, May 6 at the Izaak Walton Center! Early Bird pricing of $25 and will increase to $30 on April 7. All proceeds from the race will assist Township residents experiencing financial hardship in accessing medical and dental services.

Kidney Awareness Month
March is National Kidney Month which is observed to bring awareness to kidney health. Kidney disease is known as a “silent disease” as there may be no symptoms during its early stages. The kidneys are a vital organ filtering blood, removing toxins through the production of urine, and producing red blood cells that carry oxygen through the body. The kidneys control blood pressure and creates vitamin D. The CDC recommends monitoring your blood pressure on a regular basis. The Office of Community Health is here to help you on your kidney health journey by offering free blood pressure screenings. Veteran's Honor Roll Dinner
The next Veterans' Honor Roll Dinner will be on Tuesday, March 21 at 6PM at the Senior Center. Honor roll inductees should RSVP to the Department of Human Services by by calling (630) 540-9085 by March 16. Donations for armed services serving overseas will also be accepted at the dinner. |

Vaccinations are an important part of preventative health! Save the date for an upcoming vaccination clinic at the Hanover Township Senior Center in collaboration with Walmart St. Charles! Vaccinations offered include Shingrix, Prvnar 20 and Boostirx.

Volunteers Needed
Hanover Township’s 8th Annual “Spring 2 Sprint” 5K run/walk is scheduled for Saturday, May 6, 2023. The Office of Community Health is looking for volunteers to assist on the day of the race. Help is needed for food/snack/water set-up, course marshals, spectators and cheerleaders. The race aims to promote health and wellness within the community but will also raise funds for the Hanover Township Foundation in assisting low-income residents in obtaining dental and medical services. Red Cross Blood Drive
Appointments are open for Hanover Township's blood drive, in partnership with the American Red Cross, on Wednesday, March 8 from 10AM to 3PM at the Senior Center. Donors are required to bring a photo ID, blood donor card, or two other forms of ID on the day of the blood drive.

TAKE A LOOK! T.R.I.P. (Township Riders Initiative Pilot) is a program that offers inter-township transportation for medical purposes, for individuals 60+ years of age and individuals with a permanent social security or Veterans disability age 18+. |
